The next of the DIN A1 (841 x 594 mm) sized maps is now available as digital edition. The smaller version of Imperium Romanum 211 AD is based on the older The World of Ancient Rome prints, it was on one side this double sided poster, however the newly released map was updated with all new settlements and further improvements made to the main map since the end of 2017.
Digital Edition: Imperium Romanum 211 AD (DIN A1)
Printing the full DIN A0 (1189 x 841 mm) sized Imperium Romanum 211 AD map, which is scaled 1:4.5 Million, on a A1 sized canvas would result in an odd scale of 1: 6.362 Million. For the smaller edition an even scale of 1:6 Million was chosen, thus everything is slightly larger than in the first case. To create the additional space required, the ancillary maps found on the A0 version were removed and the legend rearranged.
The new release will be followed by Ancient Persia next month, which is based on the Achaemenid Empire as found in the larger map Dawn of the Classical World.
